Joe Santiesteban brings over thirty years of experience in all aspects of development, design, and construction from the perspective of the Owner/Developer, Architect, and Contractor. His experience includes residential, commercial, retail, and institutional projects.
Joe’s hands-on knowledge and confidence has resulted in most of his projects finishing under budget and ahead of schedule. He is accomplished at estimating, scheduling and negotiating scope, quality and cost issues with designers and contractors. Joe’s extensive experience on both sides of the table allow him to understand opposing points of view and solve problems with a collaborative approach.
Since joining S.L. Leonard & Associates, Joe has worked on multiple projects on the campus of Occidental College and on a 65-unit affordable housing project in L.A.
Immediately prior to S.L. Leonard & Associates, Joe was Vice President and General Manager of a mid-sized General Contracting and Design/Build firm specializing in affordable housing, multi-family housing and institutional projects.
Joe earned his bachelor of design/architecture from the University of Florida and is a licensed architect in California. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Southern California Association of Nonprofit Housing.
