As we began construction, S.L. Leonard & Associates came on board for management and oversight of an existing team. They stepped in without a hitch. We have a long and deep tradition of volunteer leadership and financial support for the non-profit agencies that make our communities better places for all people. We contribute thousands of hours of volunteer service in our communities each year, and our firm acts as a conduit to help people get connected to the service opportunities that mean the most to them.
A Proven Process
Step 1.
Understand The Vision
Every project starts with a discovery and strategy phase. Our team begins to understand the insights, budget and goals for the project. The outcome of this phase is an understanding of strategy and requirements moving forward.
Step 2.
Build The Team
Once the game plan has been established in the vision phase, the project moves into the team phase. This part can be meticulous and incredibly detailed; but it matters, A LOT! The project’s architects, general contractors and engineers are all selected.
Step 3.
Project Planning
The project planning phase is the blueprint phase of the project. Feasibility studies, permitting, environmental reviews, value engineering and FF&E discussions are all part of the project planning phase.
Step 4.
Project Execution
The project execution phase is where you get to see your project come to life. A weekly construction meeting, managing lenders, public outreach, internal board communication and reviewing pay requests are all integral steps of the project execution phase.
Step 5.
Project Close-Out
Finally! The project is almost complete and ready for occupancy. Recording drawings, creating operations/maintenance manuals, executing final lien waivers and an 11 month walk through are the final steps in wrapping up your project!

My nonprofit business, the L.A. Kitchen, was looking for the right company to help rep us as we built out a new kitchen/social enterprise in Los Angeles. When there were issues with a contractor, the SLL. team stepped in and did whatever it took to get the project finished before school started. They went above and beyond.
